BC Non-Profit & Charity Coalition

British Columbia’s Lobbyists Transparency Act is up for a review. While British Columbians support the goals of the Act and welcome transparency in engaging with government, the regulations in their current form are unnecessarily onerous and make it difficult for BC non-profits and charitable organizations to engage with the provincial government.

There is broad recognition that sensible changes should be brought forward to modernize the Act and ensure non-profits and charitable organizations are not deterred from engaging with government on critical issues of importance. This coalition supports changes to the Act and will support members in communicating those recommendations.
